TRX vs KLCC: Choosing a Corporate Office Location

A criteria-based way to compare two central Kuala Lumpur office districts.

Is TRX better than KLCC?

Neither is better in every case. KLCC is the more established office district; TRX is newer and still developing. The right choice depends on your clients, staff commute, floorplate needs, cost and timing.

How the two districts differ

KLCC is Kuala Lumpur's established prime office district, with many corporate and energy-sector occupiers and a deep retail and hospitality offer. TRX is a newer, purpose-planned financial district around the TRX MRT station, with a smaller but growing occupier base.

Because both are central, the useful comparison is not reputation but how each performs against your own criteria.

Criteria to score

  • Staff commute: which stations and lines serve your people?
  • Client and counterparty access
  • Floorplate size and efficiency for your teams
  • Available space now versus when you need it
  • All-in cost: rent, service charge, parking, fit-out
  • Neighbours and ecosystem relevant to your sector
